The Western Cape Minister of Education, Debbie Schäfer, will on Thursday, 2 October 2014, officially hand over Delta Primary School in Cape Town.

This hand over is part of the Accelerated Schools Infrastructure Delivery Initiative (ASIDI) which will result in 25 schools being built over two phases in the Western Cape. The programme is aimed at replacing schools built with inappropriate materials and replacing it with a new brick and mortar structure.

Tomorrow, Minister Schäfer will do a tour of the new school and address parents, learners and community members.

Members of the media are invited to attend. There will be opportunities for photographs and interviews.
