SCHOOL CONCERT 2022

This is a gentle reminder to all parents who have learners in the Foundation Phase. The Foundation Phase concert is scheduled for Saturday the  10 September 2022. It is our intention to commence at 11.30 am if all logistical arrangements have been attended to. Please note that the yellow ticket (Foundation Phase) is the only ticket that will be accepted at the door.

Adults: (R40), Children: (R20). Also be reminded that should a young child occupy a seat that the parent will be required to pay for the seat. Food items will be on sale as of 10.30 am and sales will continue throughout the day until 13:00 pm. We are also encouraging all parents where possible to pay for tickets in advance so that we can limit the amount of cash that is transacted on the day.

DONATION OF WARM WINTER BEANIES

We express appreciation to Esta Levitas who donated a set of beanies for 40 learners upon her recent visit to the school. The beanies were given to learners who achieved 100% attendance since April of this year.

FOOD GARDEN UPDATE

Our Food garden is growing from strength to strength as can be seen from the recent pictures. The change in season has led to a burst in the seeds that were planted some weeks ago. We have also included a few pictures of the fruit tree orchard we have started at school. Our benefactor has sponsored the school with a lemon tree, fig tree, guava tree and an olive tree. One of our benefactors a wine farmer from the Stellenbosch area has also committed to sponsor the school with some grape vines. Which we can plant going forward and if all our plans come to fruition we could have some nice table grapes from the orchard.

TWO OCEANS AQUARIUM VISIT

The recent visit of the Two Oceans Aquarium  to the school was received very well by our learners. Their focus was to discuss different energy sources and the impact it has on the environment. As we are aware, South Africa is in the midst of an energy crisis and it is for our youth to find solutions to challenges like energy shortages as well as food scarcity.

GRADE 1 PROJECTS

The pictures below shows some of the projects our grade 1 learners and parents completed as part of the places of interest in our community. We thought the projects were absolutely amazing and thus we are sharing the evidence of their hard work
