The final term, by its very nature, is extremely busy and final preparations are already underway to ensure that learners are adequately prepared for the final control tests (Grade 4-7). It is extremely important that all our learners are completely focused on the internal assessments. During the testing period learners will rotate their attendance per grade group. The details and attendance arrangements will be communicated by the specific grade teachers in due course. The current group of grade 7s have a few weeks ahead of them before they bid Delta Primary farewell on the 15 December 2021. I have spent many moments reflecting on this group as these learners were in grade 1 in 2015 when I took office as Principal. I`m pleased with how they have conducted themselves over the many years. A minority of the group remain a work in progress as is the case with all children. We are expecting all of the grade 7s to live up to the values we have attempted to instill in them during their tenure at Delta Primary. For the grade R – 6 we encourage as a collective that they focus on the business of education as there are still many days into the future where school will play a major part of their life. We appeal to all stakeholders and parents to encourage all children to REMAIN IN SCHOOL, regardless of the challenges. those of us who are able to uplift, support and encourage to continue to do so.
