What a busy term 3 it was! It was extremely noticeable how exhausted both teachers and staff members were these last few days of the term. The school concert was indeed the highlight of this term. Over two weekends the school as an organisation was able to bring 700 people into one space to enjoy the company of each other as well as to see the natural talents the learners possess. It was truly memorable. Im sure that learners will remember the 2022 school concert for many years to come. School, while the focus is on the ABC`s, must also be a place where we can create lasting positive  memories that are able to uplift us and motivate us, especially when things go tough. In this regard we are of the belief that we have achieved this outcome.

Learners  will receive their report cards on Thursday the 29 th of September. All learners must carefully study the report and ascertain where improvement must be in each of the subjects reflected in the report. As parents, we encourage you to have a sit-down with your young one and discuss the results giving praise where it is deserved but also addressing areas of concern which if left unchecked could possibly lead to challenges in the future. The staff members are consistently encouraging as well as reminding learners that schooling forms a big part of a child’s life and getting to grips with this reality has and will always require some form of sacrifice. There is no magic formula to achieving results that makes the child’s smile when they read their report but good old fashioned consistent hard work.

From 26 September 2022 – 29 September 2022, all learners will be dismissed from 13:00. Foundation phase at 13:00, Intersen phase, a staggered dismissal from 13:10.On the 30 September (last day of the term) learners will all be dismissed at 11:00. All reports will be issued to learners on the 29 th of  September 2022. Reports not issued to learners on the 29 th of September 2022 will be available as of 08:00 on the 30 th of  September 2022 from the deputy’s office.

On the 30th of September 2022 the current group of teacher and general assistants take leave of the school as the project is concluded. It must be acknowledged that the assistants have been of huge benefit to the functionality of the school post covid restrictions. Delta Primary wishes all the current assistants all of the best as they embark on their new journey. A new round of applications opens for young people aged 18 – 35 years old on the Harambee site as of the 22 September 2022

“Whether one is rich or poor, educated or illiterate, religious or non-believing, man or woman, black, white, or brown, we are all the same. Physically, emotionally, and mentally, we are all equal. We all share basic needs for food, shelter, safety, and love. We all aspire to happiness and we all shun suffering. Each of us has hopes, worries, fears, and dreams. Each of us wants the best for our family and loved ones. We all experience pain when we suffer loss and joy when we achieve what we seek. On this fundamental level, religion, ethnicity, culture, and language make no difference.” – Dalai Lama
