Newsletter 30 of 2020
LEARNERS WHO HAVE NOT RETURNED SINCE 1 JUNE
We are encouraging learners who have as yet not made contact with the school, to please do so before the conclusion of the academic year. Administration is in the process of following up on isolated cases where learners have not returned to school. Be reminded that all learners are required to be at school as per South African Schools Act.
We are encouraging all our learners to continue attending school after the conclusion of assessments. Valuable face-time was lost during the extended lock-down period, and it is our intention to utilise all available time between now and the conclusion of the term to bed down core concepts in both the foundation and intersen phase. As of next week the 30 November we revert to the normal attendance ( group 1 – Monday & Tuesday, group 2 Wednesday and Thursday, alternate Fridays as communicated by the teacher)
We are currently running the raffle as the only fundraiser for the term and encourage all our learners to contribute towards the fundraiser in order to generate much needed financial resources.
ATTENDANCE DATA – (2020.11.23 TO 2020.11.27)
ISSUING OF EMAIL ACCOUNTS
All learners should currently be in possession of their very own email account which was issued by the class-teacher. Accompanying the email account details , learners would have received an instruction page on how to access the email account. I wish to encourage parents to assist and get behind this initiative by actioning the suggestions as a matter of urgency. Your action will enable the school to seed a digital communication strategy which would yield marvelous benefits for all associated to our school.
INTERACTION WITH OUR ONLINE PRESENCE
Parents, we encourage all stakeholders who are connected to the school to regularly interact with the school website. While we are grappling with mass communication to all stakeholders the website and our face-book presence remains the single most important port to know what is happening at school.
