1. LEARNER ATTENDANCE – EVERYDAY COUNTS!

Dear Parents,
From 15 August 2025, you will receive a report on learner absence across the school. We have introduced this to address the high rate of absenteeism in many classes. Regular attendance is vital for your child’s promotion to the next grade and ensures their report card accurately reflects their achievements.

Unfortunately, some learners are kept from school to:

  • Go shopping with parents
  • Care for younger siblings
  • Take on adult responsibilities

These practices harm their future opportunities for success in further education and careers.
We appeal to all parents: Please ensure your child attends school for the full 5-day week.

2. NEATNESS AND DRESS CODE – WEAR OUR SCHOOL WITH PRIDE

Many learners look smart in their official school uniforms – well done to those families!
However, some learners are not following the dress code. Please review this extract from our Learner Code of Conduct:

Boys:

  • Grey short or long pants
  • White short or long-sleeved shirt
  • School tracksuit (winter only)
  • Regular black school shoes with grey socks only
  • Exceptions on casual days

Girls:

  • School dress, school tracksuit, or grey trousers
  • Regular black shoes with white ankle socks
  • Plain navy blue scarves (Muslim girls only) – worn in a dignified manner
  • Exceptions on casual days

Let’s work together to ensure all learners are neatly dressed and represent Delta Primary with pride.

3. FORMAL ASSESSMENT BE PREPARED ✏️

From 15 September 2025, our school will begin formal testing.
Before this date, learners will also receive tasks, assignments, and projects as part of their assessments.
